Lead generating is one thing but then you have to close. When starting out you may be eager to recruit as many people as possible but this would be a mistake. You need to be recruiting the right kind of people.Make these change and you will start to see results:
- Atitude:change you atitude from one of neediness to one of abundance.Make the prospect see they need your more than you need them.
- Get them to take action:have them go to your company website or listen to a CD.In this way they will see your leadership, and if they don’t do what you ask of them, then let them go.
- Find out their “why”: the prospect must have a burning reason to go into business by themselves,They may say “I want more money” but make sure it is not a lottery money mentality.Make sure they are not expecting you to do all the work.
- Control the conversation:remember you are in control so you dictate the conversation. You are interviewing the prospect,so if they start interrupting you with comments and questions say”that’s a great question,I will get to that shortly” then get back to the agenda.
Follow these stratergies and you will find you team is strong and you not be wasting your time on the tire kickers.

About 10 years ago I attended my first ever personal development course in the Blue Mountains behind Sydney Australia.
I was at a stage in my life where I wanted change and was not really aware of the personal development industry until I found a workshop run by a man called Brendon Nichols.
The workshop was called Future Warrior and drew heavily on the archetype model of the subconscious introduced to the world by Carl Jung .
Brendan’s aim was to awaken us to the archetypes within us to allow them to grow and support our own personal journey.
There are four main archetypes: King ( or Queen if you are a woman) Warrior,Lover and Magician.
The King archetype is that part of you that sees the big picture of where your life must go if you are to grow.Think of yourself standing on the top of a tall mountain looking down on the vast plain below. Then you think yes I must go in THAT direction.
So you as the CEO in your business must have this archetype in abundance, for if you do not have the big vision how will your people have trust in you.To feel the energy of this archetype you need to step outside of the day to day running of your business .
Go a place of peace and tranquility and there plot out the vision of your future. We get so caught up in the day to day running of our business that we can lose sight of what is the purpose of all that “busy-ness”
Next is the Warrior, that part of you who gets the job done. This energy is felt most by your workforce, the ones who are at the coal face DOING the job.
It is that part of you that cuts through obstructions to reach the goal.Business is about finding solutions to your client’s problems. The weakness with this archetype is that it must be given a very clear blueprint of what it is required to do.
Otherwise it will rush around performing a large amount of useless activity. That is why is needs to integrate with the King who sets the objectives though it would be a more managerial archetype that works out the procedure the Warrior must follow.
In part two we will look at the Lover and the Magician;the lover brings feeling and emotion to all this activity and the Magician looks beyond the physical plane by engaging intuition.
