Well I have got my first sale on Clickbank so it it time to reveal the training I have been following to build an online business.

It is a great feeling when you get that first sale. All that hard work is finally starting to pay off.

Now that first sale may not seem like very much and certainly won’t be enough to quit the day job,but in many ways it will be the most important sale of your online career. It proves that you can do it.

All that is required now is the repeat the process that got you that sale,so that it increases to a level that matches or beats your current monthly income. Then sack the boss!.

So anyway, the course I have been following is the Kickstart Course by Tony Sheperd. You can get it here

The link actually gives you three other freebies as well as the opportunity to sign up for the Kickstart course on a 14 day trial for $1.For that $1 you get the first for lessons for free.If you like the system after the 14 days you are billed $27 per month. The course last for 12 months,so you get 52 lessons.

Tony’s program is a weekly pdf file delivered to your inbox, each one packed with information on how to build an online business. How to find a niche, how to build a sales page and drive traffic to it.Each lesson gives you real hands on advice of how to perform a task on a click by click basis.Lots of screenshots, which I like.

So many online business building course give only vague instructions on how to do something leaving you scratching your head. Not this course.I have created 4 sales pages and an autorepsonder follow up system that is getting me traffic and now sales. All this from Tony’s training.

So try the Kick Start course now.It works for me.Click here for instant access.

Email list Building

Posted: May 24th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Internet Marketing | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

“The money is in the list”

That being so I have started to build said list.I have bought some PLR products from the guru I am following.Cost was $97 for 12 products. They are well put together and relate to the make money on line niche.

I have used one to sell through Paypal and then added a free ebook via a pop-up webform.

So far no one has bought the main product but quite a few are grabbing the ebook  which gets me their email address.

So now the list is starting to build.I have 16 people on the list as I write this. Not many I agree but it is a start.

The important thing to remember is not to use every email you send out as a product pitch. You will get substantial opt outs if you do that.

The process is build a list, build a relationship with that list and then market to that list.

It’s the middle bit most people leave out. They so want to pitch products and make money they forget about building a relationship. The reader will just think “this person does not care about what I want they just want to sell me stuff”.

So give REAL content and give it free. You can introduce affiliate products from time to time but ensure they tie in with what you blog or websites is about.

Have your emails 4 days apart which is the default setting on Aweber the autoresponder I use.

After about 7 emails spread any subsequent emails out to seven days apart.

Follow this strategy and your own list will grow.

The mindset for success as an entrepreneur

Posted: November 9th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Personal Growth | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

Here are some things I learnt about becoming more successful in business:

  1. Speed of implementation-once you have a idea put it into action,do not procrastinate. You can spend forever waiting for the right moment before launching a new product or idea.Do it now.If it does not work then know you have learned a lesson.Use it and move on.Which leads to..
  2. Failure is just an idea it is not a thing.Failure only exists inside your head if you let it.The great inventor Thomas Eddison said every time something did not work he knew he was one step closer to finding something that did.
  3. You get paid for results not work.People will only hand over money when they get what they want. You must streamline your activities so that everything serves the goal of giving the customer what she wants. So get away from the employee mindset of “I turn up for work so I should be paid”
  4. Most of the things you try in business will not work.Just accept that. You try things then move on.If there is no motion there is stagnation and that means death to your business.
  5. The three things you need to make your business work are a product, marketing and systems. Most people focus on the first to the detriment of the other two.Your marketing must be scientific. You must be able to measure everything, where your leads are coming from and how much they spend to name just two.Your system is how the business works. How orders are taken, where stock is kept ,how product is delivered, how payment is handled, how return goods are handled and how accounting is handled. Once the system is running you just need to fine tune it now and again ,but any bottle necks will close you down.

Keep the energy up for up your home business opportunity.

We only have so much was energy to do all that we want to achieve in a day.Yet we allow so much of this energy to be drawn away from building our home business opportunity.

One of the big drains is the TV.It sits there in the corner of your living room, just asking to  be switched on.So perhaps you do, only you say, to watch the news. But then it stays on and you stay there watching .Before you know it ,the whole evening has gone. You energy has gone with it and you have nothing left to use on your home business opportunity.

You have got to start plugging these leaks,so begin with turning off the television. I got rid of mine. The TV licence people can’t believe it and send me threatening letters!

By doing this I have so much more time to work on my business, and my energy levels are up.

Another area is the drama of life that your friends and family try to suck you into.Of course you mus show compassion but don’t become attached to all the drama. You can still love them but being attached to the drama is not love.

Cut out the distractions of your life, clean up the clutter and focus on what is important.

Clutter can include all the stuff in the your home or office that you keep thinking you must get round to sorting out “someday”.

A great resource to deal with this is a book by David Allen called Getting Things Done the best book I have read on time management.

It shows how to get all things to your “in” box, process and sort them, then dump the chunk.

You can get it from amazon here:

I have followed his advise and taken so much stuff to the local tip.

So get rid of all the drama both in the world and in your head and see your energy levels go through the roof. You home business opportunity will look better too.

How committed are you to your business?

Posted: April 9th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Personal Growth | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

They say that if you treat it as a hobby then you will get hobby size cheques.

Are you willing to do what it takes to succeed? That is alot different from trying your best, for what if that is not good enough?Well at that point you will probably give up.But if you are prepared to do what it takes, then you will push through the obstacles that are bound to show up.

When I first started out in this business I had this vision of “making it” .There I would be lying on a tropical island somewhere in the Pacific with a cocktail in my hand.Mmm….I wonder how long it would be before I got bored.I realised that I am on this earth to grow and evolve, for as someone once said to me “when we die all we have left to take with us is the person we have become”.

When you go to a funeral do they talk about the deceased’s accumulation of wealth, how many cars they had?No, it was the qualities they possessed, the things and service they gave to the community.

You will have to give alot before the money shows up,that is the test to see how committed you are.For many will fall by the way side, only the true believers will continue.

But don’t fall into the trap of thinking there is some destination, some mythical wonderland. It is the journey that makes it worthwhile. You will be a better person for it.
