You will know that posting comments on other people’s blogs is a great way to get back links to your site.Go after sites that have a high PR ranking and Google will like that.
The problem is that many blog owners throw out most of the blog comments they receive as they are just computer generated spam. Most have a Word Press plug in called Akisnet which does the job for them.If you don’t have this plug in install it now.I expect you are being overwhelmed with spam if it’s not installed.
Whilst this plug in is great it can weed out legitimate comments, comments perhaps made by YOU on a blog.So you need to know how to post comments if you are to get through the filter. Here’s what to do:
Use your real name not some name stuffed with keywords.
Link to your home page not a specific page on your blog as Akismet will notice this and mark you as spam.
Leave long comments that add value to the debate that is going on.This is the big one.If you just say ” great post” that will be deleted.Show you have read the post and then add something that will help people. The blog owner will like you for it and encourage you to come back.People will see your helpful comments and come to your blog.
Avoid “spammy” words such as any relating to gambling, debt consolidation or hair loss!
Follow these simple rules are you will get through the Akismet filter.

DoFollow is the absence of the NoFollow code in your links. The NoFollow is a special HTML code that you can add to links to prevent search engines from passing any page attributes such as page rank.
The purpose of NoFollow was to discourage spammers leaving meaningless comments on blogs just to get backlinks to their sites.
Most major sites use the NoFollow code and on self hosted WordPress sites,NoFollow is the default code.
So you may think that there is no point in leaving comments on a NoFollow site.Well some surveys have been done and it has been shown that back linking from NoFollow sites will still boost your ranking if you focus on one particular keyword. So don't let NoFollow puut you off.
The key is to leave quality comments.Don't just say "great post".It is likely that the moderator of that blog will delete your post.Leave comments that add to the debate. The more focused your comment is on the the blog post subject the more credibility you will gain.
People will then start coming to your blog to see what you are about.
So find some relevant blogs in your niche and start commenting.
One of the ways to grow your list is to JV or joint venture with someone who is also in your niche.
There is a right and wrong way of approaching a potential JV partner.
1.Until you have a big list do not approach the big gurus like Frank Kern or Eban Pagan, they will ignore you.
2.Find up and coming marketers in your niche and start posting on their blogs or Facebook Fan Pages.Try and be a bit controversial,as the blog owner may come back to you. Then you get a conversation going and you will build trust. Then offer to promote THEIR product to your list.Once you have helped them they will want to help you.A good way of promoting to your list is to do a joint webinar with your JV.
3.A way of finding such up and coming JVers is to become an affiliate of one of the big boys as they launch a new product. They usually hold a competition to see which affiliates bring in the most sales.Google there people and find their blogs. Then start posting.
4.Still got a small list?Under 500?Build the list first, use Google Ads to drive traffic to your squeeze.
Hope that helps, what strategies do you use to attract JVs?
Google has some great tools and one I’ve found really useful is Google Reader.
This tool allows you to bookmark blogs and websites but unlike a browser bookmarking tool it shows the first few line of a post so you can quickly decide if you want to read it or move onto another.
So here is a short video about this tool and how it can save you time when surfing around your favourite sites.Enjoy
You would think that with all these online lead generation techniques like social media, ezine articles, and blogs that signing people up is an automatic process.
It’s as if you never have to talk to people who join your business. They just sign and start recruiting their distributors themselves, and you laugh as your commission checks get bigger.
Well I am sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not that simple.
You still have to covert people from prospects to distributors. That means talking to them.
Does the thought of that fill you with fear? Are your hands getting sweaty just thinking about picking up the phone?
Well these is a way of overcoming those fears. It involves a mindshift from the way you think about your business.Instead of praying that someone will join your team, think of it as a job interview.
In this interview you are interviewer and the prospect is the interviewee. They have to convince you that they are good enough to join your team.
Think in this way and you will never have any fear when you pick up that phone.Remember it is your business not the business of your opportunity. If you had your own bricks and mortar business, would you recruit anyone who came knocking on your door looking for work?
To hear more about the techniques you must have to recruit in big numbers watch this free video of attraction marketing guru Mike Dillard in conversation with the man who recruited him into his primary business opportunity.
It’s a one hour video packed with great advice, and it’s free.
