The Resources and Tools You Need to Make Money Online

I will tell you straight out now,do not listen to people who say you can make money online without putting down a dime.That’s just not true.It is far cheaper to set up an online business than a traditional bricks and mortar business BUT you do need some paid resources and here are the ones I use.
Get a Domain Name
If you want to make money online you need your own domain name.I use Name Cheap who as well offering the cheapest domain names have an excellent tool of offering alternative domain names if the one you want is not available.You will pay about $9 per year for a .com domain.
Get Web Hosting
Once you have your domain name then you need somewhere to host your website. I use Hostgator as you can host as many domains as you like for about $7 per month.Their support is great. You can do a live chat with one of techie people and your problem will be solved in minutes.And no heavy upsell as you will find with Godaddy.
A Blogging Platform
This blog that you are reading now is a WordPress.org site which is the premier blogging platform.WordPress.org should not be confused with WordPress.com which is a free hosted site but is much more restricted in it’s applications. WordPress.com does have it’s place as a traffic generation tool as you can use it to lead traffic to your .org blog or a lead capture page.Just don’t use it as your main blogging platform.
You will need to buy both a domain name and have hosting to create a WordPress.org blog so you should use Namecheap and Hostgator mentioned above.The good news is you can launch WordPress from inside your Hostgator account and only takes few minutes.
Keyword Research
You will need to do your keyword research if you are to make money online.Not only that you need to know the level of competition for your chosen niche .Market Samurai is the product I recommend which will do all the keyword research you need and tell you if there is money in your niche.I have made several videos about this product the first of which you can find here.
Internet Marketing
Whilst all the tools I’ve mentioned so far will assist you in making money online until you master marketing you will make very little headway.You can have the best product but if you don’t know how to market then you are going to struggle.I am one of the founder members of Six Figure Mentors.

They say that the money is in the list when building a business online.Well you cannot build that list without and autoresponder.I use Aweber which is the industy standard.You can capture email addresses quickly by using Aweber opt in forms on your squeeze pages.Then you start to market to that list again using Aweber.Get it now,it’s a must have.
