Here's a video I made about the law of attraction and why the film The Secret has done this law a disservice. The Law is real but you must learn the truth of how to use it the right way.So many people are trying to use the Law but it is just not working for them.
They are doing it the wrong way and in this video I explain what you must do differently to make it work for you.
There are many MLM companies our there and the distributor trying to sign you up will tell you her’s is the best. But you only have her word for that,so what should be looking for in any opportunity? How do you spot top MLM companies.
1.The product or service is in demand.Do people really want what you are offering? In a recession that ultra expensive fruit drink that you are trying to sell will get dropped like a stone.Go for something that people already need and use for example telecoms or utilities, you just sell it to them cheaper!
2.The company will send the product directly to the customer? You do not want a garage full of product that you are waiting to ship.
3.The company should have a easy to navigate back office that will show the status of all your customers and distributors.Where are order is,how many people your downline has signed up in the last month.
4.Is the company listed? The company should be reputable and preferably listed on the Stock Exchange so that it’s accounts are easy to obtain. The accounts should show a strong cash flow and balance sheet.
5.The company is global? When you market online you will receive enquirers from all over the world so you want to sign up distributors to a business they can market in their own country.
6.What is the entry cost? Some price points are very high thousands of dollars. So firstly can you afford it?Secondly it it much harder to sell a more expensive item than one that is cheap. Are you up for that?
7.How much freedom will the company give you to market online? Some will not allow you to mention their name in social media like Twitter or Facebook, and personal websites have to be vetted and approved-for a fee of course.Best not to mention the company at all until you are talking offline with a prospect.
8.The compensation plan? These vary and are often difficult to understand, but you must know you are going to have to build a substantial downline before you get to a passive income big enough for you to live off.
9.Who is your upline and how much training and support is she going to give you?If the first thing they say is “make a list of everyone you know” be afraid ,be very afraid. For they know only “old school ” MLM,you however want someone who is internet marketing savvy.
In the end this whole internet marketing process is about building brand YOU.MLM should be just one source of income. You need at least ten.Start doing some affiliate marketing as well. For if the company is your sole source of income and it goes down, you are in trouble.
Relying on one source of income from one MLM company is like being an employee. You get retrenched. Then what do you do?
See how the skill in learning internet marketing can serve you in building further incomes streams.Focus on that rather than just one opportunity.
I made this video whilst down on the beach at Sandbanks/Poole/Dorset/UK one Sunday recently. The day was really hot so the beach was packed. It was the end of half term week which also added to the crowds.
In the video I talk about being there the next day,Monday. There will be fewer people. Why? Because they are at work.Where would you rather be?
We only have so much was energy to do all that we want to achieve in a day.Yet we allow so much of this energy to be drawn away from building our home business opportunity.
One of the big drains is the TV.It sits there in the corner of your living room, just asking to be switched on.So perhaps you do, only you say, to watch the news. But then it stays on and you stay there watching .Before you know it ,the whole evening has gone. You energy has gone with it and you have nothing left to use on your home business opportunity.
You have got to start plugging these leaks,so begin with turning off the television. I got rid of mine. The TV licence people can’t believe it and send me threatening letters!
By doing this I have so much more time to work on my business, and my energy levels are up.
Another area is the drama of life that your friends and family try to suck you into.Of course you mus show compassion but don’t become attached to all the drama. You can still love them but being attached to the drama is not love.
Cut out the distractions of your life, clean up the clutter and focus on what is important.
Clutter can include all the stuff in the your home or office that you keep thinking you must get round to sorting out “someday”.
A great resource to deal with this is a book by David Allen called Getting Things Done the best book I have read on time management.
It shows how to get all things to your “in” box, process and sort them, then dump the chunk.
You can get it from amazon here:
I have followed his advise and taken so much stuff to the local tip.
So get rid of all the drama both in the world and in your head and see your energy levels go through the roof. You home business opportunity will look better too.
About 10 years ago I attended my first ever personal development course in the Blue Mountains behind Sydney Australia.
I was at a stage in my life where I wanted change and was not really aware of the personal development industry until I found a workshop run by a man called Brendon Nichols.
The workshop was called Future Warrior and drew heavily on the archetype model of the subconscious introduced to the world by Carl Jung .
Brendan’s aim was to awaken us to the archetypes within us to allow them to grow and support our own personal journey.
There are four main archetypes: King ( or Queen if you are a woman) Warrior,Lover and Magician.
The King archetype is that part of you that sees the big picture of where your life must go if you are to grow.Think of yourself standing on the top of a tall mountain looking down on the vast plain below. Then you think yes I must go in THAT direction.
So you as the CEO in your business must have this archetype in abundance, for if you do not have the big vision how will your people have trust in you.To feel the energy of this archetype you need to step outside of the day to day running of your business .
Go a place of peace and tranquility and there plot out the vision of your future. We get so caught up in the day to day running of our business that we can lose sight of what is the purpose of all that “busy-ness”
Next is the Warrior, that part of you who gets the job done. This energy is felt most by your workforce, the ones who are at the coal face DOING the job.
It is that part of you that cuts through obstructions to reach the goal.Business is about finding solutions to your client’s problems. The weakness with this archetype is that it must be given a very clear blueprint of what it is required to do.
Otherwise it will rush around performing a large amount of useless activity. That is why is needs to integrate with the King who sets the objectives though it would be a more managerial archetype that works out the procedure the Warrior must follow.
In part two we will look at the Lover and the Magician;the lover brings feeling and emotion to all this activity and the Magician looks beyond the physical plane by engaging intuition.
Yes,just like the George Michael song.I just had a realisation about people who ask me :is my MLM opportunity hard to sell, how much money will I make, how good is the upline support? What they are really asking is can THEY succeed,do THEY have the skils necessary to make it.Well of course only they can answer that question.Only they can look inside themselves and see if they have what it takes.
How much do they want that freedom?Do they see they have to work for it,or are they expecting some automated system so that they can just lie in a hammock whilst the money rolls into their bank account.
If people come to you with that attitude then if I were you I would say “thanks for sharing” and wish them well.
The world is full of people who just want it all handed to them on a plate, and there are some who are willing to do what it takes, which can be so much more than”doing their best”.Doing what it takes will raise your “best” to new heights.
Don’t you want to get up there are enjoy the view?
