How to make money online outside the internet marketing niche

How to make money online outside the internet marketing niche

When you start an online business you need to know how to market yourself and your product so it is natural to go and find the tools that help you to do that.

So you are drawn into the internet marketing niche and start to buy a few products like Aweber or Market Samurai

Then you think as you know something about this niche that it will be your business model. So you make money online by telling people how to make money online.

But this niche is not for everyone and it has become very very competitive.Your potential buyers are also a lot more fussy about what they buy. Remember they are in the same niche as you.

So you have a head start if you can find a niche that is NOT internet marketing.Do you have an offline business?Do you have a website that GETS TRAFFIC.

Most offline businesses have a website but they get no traffic. They have no idea about keywords or SEO.

If you have a business where the market  does not know how to do internet marketing then that puts you at an advantage.

If you have an offline business that needs more business ,and who doesn’t, then I can recommend the Six Figure Mentors as the place to start your marketing training.

If you don’t have an offline business and want to start an online business that is not IM,then you have to ask yourself what are you passionate about?

What gets you excited? Now the hard bit think: about how you could turn that passion into a business.

We are now in a knowledge economy where people want to know about stuff to solve their problems and become happier.

What do you know that you could share with others to make their life better?

Eban Pagan who has made millions online says the three super niches where there will always be a need to be met are health, making and investing money, and relationships.

So can you find a sub niche inside one of those three where there are enough customers to sustain your business but not too much competition?

For me I am into raw vegan food.Sounds a bit extreme but I am convinced it it the best diet a human being can be on to sustain a long and healthy life both physically and mentally.

You can find my blog here Raw Food Now

Now all people want good health although some do things to themselves that achieve the exact opposite.

Nevertheless there are enough people who are committed to good health to make this super niche very profitable.

DO NOT go for weight loss, that is just way too competitive and you will get nowhere near page one of Google which is where you want to be if you are to get traffic.

So go and find that niche now that is not IM and make a killing.

Training the Mind

Training the Mind

I meditate.Alot,as in every day. Why?Until you start to know your mind you will have no idea just how wild it is and how much control it has over you.

People talk about getting focused all the time so much it’s become a cliche. What people need to understand is that to get a focus that lasts the mind has to  be tamed and controlled so it serves us, not the other way round.

So the way to achieve this is to sit comfortably in a chair close our eyes and start to observe our mind. This will be very easy as our mind will immediately say “well this is boring sitting in this chair, get up and go and have some fun”

We believe our mind is on our side but in reality it is run by our delusions that will be the cause of so much suffering  in our life. Our mind kids us into thinking that our external world determines whether we are happy or sad but  if you check I am sure you can remember when you were at a beautiful holiday destination but had a heated argument with your partner and felt miserable. You state of mind and the outer world are not related.By training the mind you can be happy all the time.

What you must do at this point is ignore the rants of your mind.Instead you must look for an anchor to which you can tie your wild mind.In this way you can start to bring it under control. The most common practice that gives you this anchor is  the breath.I want you to focus on it  as it enters and leaves your nose.

Just start,do it for five minutes in the morning and slowly you will start to perceive gaps in all the random thoughts of your wild deluded mind.As your meditations get longer and deeper you will start to feel a great sense of inner peace that you can carry out into your daily life.

If your focus is building a business then it will help you here.We are under great pressure to deliver excellent customer service and with a calm and peaceful mind you can always deal with difficult situations, difficult clients, without losing your temper.

Calming your mind will add to your bottom line.I long for the day when meditation becomes common practice in the work place.

If you are a boss have the courage to introduce it in your company.Remember a happy workforce is a hard working workforce.

with love and best wishes

Have you tried Fiverr.com

Posted: April 13th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Internet Marketing, list building, SEO, social media | No Comments »

what is fiverr.com As internet marketers we want to spend most of our time working
on the things that will bring in the most revenue and for me
that is product creation.

So as much as possible we need to outsource the more mundane
aspects of making a living online.

Now there are many outsourcing services but if you are really on a tight budget then I recommend you go with Fiverr.comThis site has people willing to perform various tasks for you for just $5.

So all you have to do is find someone on the site who is willing to do the job you want done.Once you decide on who is going to do the job you pay your $5 into Fiverr who hold the money until the task is done to your satisfaction.

I have used this service to syndicate videos, builder headers for blogs and do various social media jobs.In all case I have found the standard of work to be good. Don’t expect to find someone to do a complex job,you must got to Elance or O Desk for that.

Simple jobs is what this site is about.

So try it now for some tedious job you have no time for.It will free you up to do the more important stuff.

Frank Kern State of the Internet Address 2012

Posted: March 20th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Internet Marketing, list building, SEO | No Comments »

Frank Kern and the state of the internet address 2012

Have you ever watched Internet marketing Guru Frank Kern’s state of the internet address?

He does one every year sitting behind  a big  desk like he’s the President of the United States giving his opinion of what is going on in the world of internet marketing.

You can watch his address for 2012  here .

In his address Frank look at the three things that can make the difference between success and failure on the internet.

They are marketing, technology and what he calls the “magic bullet”

In his view we have been focusing far too much on the first two and not enough of the third.

In my view technology is the least important and always has been.Yes we need to have lead capture pages and websites up there but that can all be outsourced.

We can go to places like O Desk and Elance and pay someone to do it for us.I myself use SBI  (Site Build It) which takes care of all the techie stuff leaving me to concentrate on the content which is my magic bullet.

Marketing is more important that technology for sure. But we can get lost in the need to have more Facebook or Twitter followers or have more You Tube videos posted.

But the truth if your offer is really really good it won’t need much marketing. This is your magic bullet.

People will find it through the search engines because the offer will solve a problem that is worrying them right now and they are will to pay someone to solve that problem for them.

So what is your offer?Does it solve a deep pressing problem, one that has a large enough market for it to be profitable for you?

With all the keyword research tools out there such as Wordtracker you can see for yourself where the demand is.Not only that you can see if there is competition too.

Try Market Samuri for example, which can assess competition as well as keyword demand.

Then go away and create your magic bullet, the offer so good that no one can resist it.Getting traffic will not be a problem.People will talk about it and it will go viral.

So what is the offer you have?Tell me about it by leaving a comment in the box below.I look forward to hearing from you.

Whatever your magic bullet you can rely on the Six Figure Mentors Internet Marketing system to take care of the marketing and technology pillars of your business success.Check it out now.

How to Increase Traffic to Your Website with Free Reports

Posted: March 11th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Internet Marketing | No Comments »

One of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is to write a free report and then give it away via Warrior Forum Special Offer or send it to blog or forum moderators in your niche and ask them to give it away to their subscribers.

But first your must write the report.

Start with the title as this is really important. It is like a headline for an ad you are writing. It has got to grab people’s attention. People are very busy these days and are presented a lot of free reports and they give little time in deciding whether to download one or not so you must come up with a catchy title.

So if you are in the make money online niche do NOT have a title like ” how to make money online”.Boring.

This is better:

Kill the Day Job
How to Sack Your Boss
How to be a Google Marksman

Then have a sub title that shows what problem they are going to solve if they read your report

“The ten biggest mistakes people make in xxxxx( your niche subject goes here) and how you can avoid them and succeed in xxxx ( the solution they want)”

Directly below the title should be a link to  Your lead capture page where you get there email address and they get the link to your report.

Bit don’t leave it at that.Add a teaser underneath such as “If you are serious about xxxxx( whatever the niche is) then you MUST read this report.

Write about seven to ten pages of well spaced and short paragraphs, it must be easy to read.

Have an attention grabbing image on the front cover. So if your niche is fly fishing and the title is “Fly fishing nightmares and how to avoid them” have a picture of a frustrated man throwing his rod into the river.

Be controversial.Be like the renegade in your niche. Start with something like ” here are the secrets the gurus don’t want you to know”. Controversy will get you traffic.

Do your research. Find content through Google but do not copy work for word. Re write and add your own original material as well.

Then to get it to go viral you can submit to the http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum assuming your product is in the internet marketing make money online niche. There is a charge of $20 for this and your offer has to be approved before it is published. Make sure it’s clear you are giving free distribution rights with your book.

The other way is to go to blog and forum owners who are in your niche and ask them to offer it to there readers as a way to get them ( the forum/blog owners) more people on their list.

In return you will get people clicking through to your site and buying your upsell product.

You can also make money by inserting affiliate links in the report. So for example with any niche now it is important to build a list of email subscribers. You need an email management system to do that. Well the industry standard is Aweber. Put your affiliate link to Aweber in your report and you can make some sales.

Follow these simple rules and watch the traffic to your site increase.

6 Tips to increase traffic to your blog

Posted: March 2nd, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Internet Marketing, Personal Growth, SEO, social media | No Comments »

1.Reply to comments. It is true that many comments are just spam placed on your site merely to get back links. But some comments are genuine and you should reply as someone has taken time out of their day to comment on your blog post.So the least you can do is respond. If the comment is long and adds real value that give it a detailed response not just “thanks for your great comments”.

2.If someone mentions you on social media or a blog go and thank them.To track a mention of your name use Google Alerts and set up your name or business and the keyword phrase. Then once a week check your alerts and see who has mentioned you.If they talk about you in a nice way thank them.

3.Use the like and tweet buttons a lot when you find something of value. It will spread your  name and hopefully people will like and follow you back.

4.Decrease your page load time.A page heavy with graphics and images will frustrate your visitor and they will more likely hit the back button. Also I have heard page load time has an effect on your Google ranking so re visit your site and remove anything that slows the load time down.

5.Lay off the sales pitches.Don’t you run a mile when someone who has just joined some MLM program launches into their  sales pitch and may even take you through a Power Point presentation. If you help people they will buy from you because they have grown to know like and trust you.Let your site or blog do the selling.

6.Write an evergreen post i.e. one that will survive the test of time.Sure you need to report on the current trends but you also need to write about timeless truths. These become your landmark posts and are longer in length than most you do.These are the posts that get ranked by Google. They will take more time to research but start one now and get it posted.

1.I follow a Buddhist spiritual practice or more specifically New Kadampa Buddhism as brought to the West by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.I discovered Buddhism about 15 years ago and until 2008 followed a Burmese tradition which I discovered whilst living in Australia. Then I discovered the Mahayana teachings of the New Kadampa Tradition brought to the west by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.I really live this tradition now and do my practice every day.Do it yourself and you will become enlightened.

2.I play the piano and have reached grade six in the Associated Board of the Royal College of Music exam series.I like to play classical pieces and some jazz.

3.I lived in Sydney Australia for 12 years from 1987 to 1999.I had some great times there but in the end I wanted to come back, the distance is just too great.

4.I do hashing which has nothing to do with drugs. It’s a running club where you follow a trail of sawdust running from a pub back to a pub.Google hashing to find a hash club near you.

5.I once bungie jumped in Australia twice on the same day.I would not do it again. It’s over too quickly.

6.I lived in Manila for 18 months.Whilst I was there I experienced a hurricane,earthquake,volcano eruption,the President being overthrown and bombs going off.Nice.

7.I have been to Bali in Indonesia twice. It is the most relaxed place on earth I have ever visited. If you get the chance go there.

8.I follow a raw vegan diet. That is I do not eat meat including sea food and no dairy i.e. milk or eggs. All food you eat should be  raw as by heating it up you will destroy about 80% of the food’s nutritional value.Check out my raw food blog rawfood-now.com for more info.
