A great way of building you self confidence.

Thanks for coming back, please feel free to post any comments you may have.

King Warrior Lover Magician Part Two

March 10th, 2009 Andrew Collinson No comments

In part one of this two part article we looked at the how the King and Warrior archetypes are crucial to us in both business and our personal life.

Today we look at the other two which make up this quartet of powerful allies.Firstly the Lover.

This is the part of us that is connected to our emotional intelligence. We think that in business all that is required is logical thinking. That is important but not the whole deal.Business is about building relationships no different than those you build with friends and family.

To be able to feel someone’s emotions is a great gift and will propel your business forward. The Warrior energy whilst great at cutting through obstacles can be a bit insensitive. You need the Lover energy to balance it out.

This part of you will empathise with a client and see her point of view.It will be much easier to join the conversation going on inside her head.

The last is the Magician energy, the power behind the King’s throne, the see-er of the future. It is that part of you that holds your intuition, that inner voice that guides you to that which you cannot see right now.

In business it would be that part of you looking out for new trends that will generate new clients and better profits. That part of you that can see a better way of doing things you already do.

It is the part that makes you go up to a stranger at a networking meeting and two weeks later you form a JV.This archetype is the cause of serendipity. It seeks out and finds those people that will join your opportunity.

Be open to all these energies. If you have not been aware of them until now they make some time to come out, after all they have been ignored for so many years.

But engage with them now and take yourself to the next level.

To take this deeper,I have found this book to be excellent:

King Warrior Lover Magician

March 9th, 2009 Andrew Collinson No comments

About 10 years ago I attended my first ever personal development course in the Blue Mountains behind Sydney Australia.

I was at a stage in my life where I wanted change and was not really aware of the personal development industry until I found a workshop run by a man called Brendon Nichols.

The workshop was called Future Warrior and drew heavily on the archetype model of the subconscious  introduced to the world by Carl Jung .

Brendan’s aim was to awaken us to the archetypes within us to allow them to grow and support our own personal journey.

There are four main archetypes: King ( or Queen if you are a woman) Warrior,Lover and Magician.

The King archetype is that part of you that sees the big picture of where your life must go if you are to grow.Think of yourself standing on the top of a tall mountain looking down on the vast plain below. Then you think yes I must go in THAT direction.

So you as the CEO in your business must have this archetype in abundance, for if you do not have the big vision how will your people have trust in you.To feel the energy of this archetype you need to step outside of the day to day running of your business .

Go a place of peace and tranquility and there plot out the vision of your future. We get so caught up in the day to day running of our business that we can lose sight of what is the purpose of all that “busy-ness”

Next is the Warrior, that part of you who gets the job done. This energy is felt most by your workforce, the ones who are at the coal face DOING the job.

It is that part of you that cuts through obstructions to reach the goal.Business is about finding solutions to your client’s problems. The weakness with this archetype is that it must be given a very clear blueprint of what it is required to do.

Otherwise it will rush around performing a large amount of useless activity. That is why is needs to integrate with the King who sets the objectives though it would be a more managerial archetype that works out the procedure the Warrior must follow.

In part two we will look at the Lover and the Magician;the lover brings feeling and emotion to all this activity and the Magician looks beyond the physical plane by engaging intuition.

Opportunity Seeker v Entrepreneur

March 3rd, 2009 Andrew Collinson No comments

I am watching a video by Jonathan Budd who was talking about the difference between an opportunity seeker and an entrepreneur. If you are in the network marketing business you will be taking to prospects about your business opportunity. If so are you only every attracting opportunity seekers?

These people are looking for an easy way out of the rat race. They just want the dream, lying on a beach somewhere whilst the money comes in on autopilot.Their eager downline working away day and night to deliver that lovely residual income. All these people are interested in is how you are going to deliver that lifestyle; and it better come quickly.

You do not want to recruit these people, they will be a drain on your time and will complain constantly.

What you want are entrepreneurs because these people know that everything that happens to them is their responsibility.

They understand that there will be obstacles to overcome, and it is the entrepreneurs job to find solutions to those obstacles.

We incarnate as humans to grow and evolve, a process that has no ending so give up the idea it is ever going to get easy. You are in samsara my friends so get use to it.Business is the perfect vehicle for allowing that evolution to occur. So welcome those obstacles and welcome those people who want to join your business with that mindset.

They will be the ones that succeed and be the ones it will be fun to do business with.

Better to ask the next prospect you see “are you someone who wants to grow and evolve?” Take note of how they reply.
