Golf

I played golf alot at one time.I started as a caddie to my grandfather when I was about 14 then started playing myself.I have always enjoyed solo sports over team sports.I played tennis too but whether you win or lose is to a large extent determined by how well your opponent plays.

But with golf it is you against yourself.So I joined a club and became the vice captain.I was down the club every Saturday.This was when I lived in Australia.But when I came back to the UK,I just lost interest and now play no more.I still have my clubs but they are just gathering dust in the cupboard under the stairs.

Now when I drive past a golf course I feel no sense of loss.It takes on average 4 hours to play 18 holes,then there is the practice at the driving range if you want to get better.No there are better things to do with my time.And I don’t like Pringle sweaters or Rubert Bear trousers or a G & T  at the 19th hole.White water rafting,now that makes me feel alive.

The Tully river in Queensland, try that one the next time you are in Oz.

why does the education system …

why does the education system train people to be employees and go onto to do degrees that leave them in debt for years?

That’s it I’ve had it with TV.My freeview box packed up in early January and I just stopped watching the channels that were left.I am on the internet all the time now so there is no place for TV.

My TV licence came in the mail today,£140 for one year,do I need that?No.I was at a friend’s house recently and he has Sky.He has it on all the time in his kitchen.So I pick up the remote and start surfing,one channel to the next,crap…crap….crap….crap, just pure garbage and all for what £35 a month.It also robs you of your time and that is serious.No I will not miss it, and anyway TV is moving to the web  so why not watch it for free there.

The scale of B Flat Major

I have a real problems with this key it just doesn’t sit under my fingers linke the others do.This is strange given it only has two flats.D Flat is much easier and it has so much more.I cannot work it out.Do you have this problem?Which is your best key?
